1. Use of the Service

ExpenDiv is a personal finance tool for tracking shared bills and sending payment reminders. You must be 18 or older to use this service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

2. Your Data

You own the data you enter into ExpenDiv. We store it securely and do not sell it to third parties. We use it only to provide the service to you.

3. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from Settings. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. Plan availability may change at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Email Delivery

ExpenDiv sends reminder emails on your behalf via a third-party email service. We do not guarantee delivery of any email. Emails may be filtered as spam, delayed, or blocked by the recipient's email provider. ExpenDiv is not liable for any consequences (including missed payments, late fees, or damaged relationships) resulting from undelivered, delayed, or misdirected emails.

6. No Financial Advice

ExpenDiv is a bill-tracking and reminder tool only. It is not a financial advisor, payment processor, or accounting service. All financial information displayed is entered by you and is not independently verified. You are solely responsible for confirming the accuracy of any amounts, due dates, or balances shown. ExpenDiv is not responsible for missed payments, late fees, overdrafts, collection actions, damaged credit, or any financial hardship arising from your use of or reliance on the service.

7. Limitation of Liability

ExpenDiv is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ExpenDiv and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including but not limited to financial loss, lost revenue, missed payments, or data loss) arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to ExpenDiv in the three months preceding the claim or (b) $10 USD.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ExpenDiv and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or if continued operation of your account poses a risk to other users or to the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may request export or deletion of your data by contacting us at support@expendiv.com.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at support@expendiv.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Texas. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
